TR's Glenn Pinson Receives BFHD Award
Glenn Pinson, a 21 year veteran of the Beverly Hills Fire Department, was awarded Tuesday night with the BHFD's Harvey Adair Memorial Meritorious Service Award, which is given in recognition of service above and beyond the duties of the fire department. Glenn deployed with Team Rubicon's Bravo Element to Port au Prince and operated in Haiti for nearly two weeks. Upon accepting the award Glenn said, "I was humbled to be able to directly help individuals who were desperate for human compassion."
Following the presentation of Glenn's Award, TR President Jake Wood took the podium to present the Beverly Hills Fire Department with a plaque as a token of appreciation for the department's continued support both during Haiti and Chile. BFHD provided not only Glenn's time and expertise, but thousands of dollars of supplies as well.
